Refine Recruitment

The Role of Technology in Recruitment

Technology has revolutionised many aspects of our lives and work, including the recruitment process. In this blog, we’ll discuss how technology plays a role in recruitment and how businesses can leverage it to their benefit.

One of the major changes in recruitment technology is the emergence of applicant tracking systems (ATS). These platforms help recruiters and hiring managers automate many of the administrative tasks involved in the hiring process. They can filter resumes, monitor applicant progress, and even arrange interviews, saving time for recruiters to focus on more strategic tasks.

However, ATS platforms are not perfect. They depend on the quality of the data they receive. That means it’s crucial to write job descriptions and resumes with relevant keywords that will help the ATS find strong candidates.

Another way technology has changed the recruitment process is through video interviews. Video interviews are becoming more common, as they allow recruiters to interact with candidates remotely and save time and money on in-person interviews.

There are two kinds of video interviews: pre-recorded and live. Pre-recorded video interviews let candidates record their answers to pre-set questions, which recruiters can review at their convenience. Live video interviews are done in real-time, usually through a video conferencing platform.

While video interviews can be a useful tool, it’s important to make sure they don’t replace important face-to-face interactions completely. Video interviews should be used as an addition to, not a substitute for, in-person interviews.
